Abstract

TEACHING PRE-MODERN FRENCH LITERATURE: MEMORIES AND TESTIMONIES

In Poland the collapse of the communist regime in 1989 had multiple and diverse implications
for all the aspects of the life of Polish people. Its impact on the essential elements of the educational process, which are the student, the teacher and the curriculum, is unquestionable. The presentinquiry is structured around these three elements, in order to, firstly, foreground their complexities and, secondly, draw some conclusions regarding the place that should/can Pre-Modern French literature occupy in university curriculum in non-francophone countries.
